NPC Local Needs Databank
We work closely with New Philanthropy Capital to be a part of their regularly updated and interactive databank, which brings together key organisations undertaking similar work for vulnerable families. The aim of the databank is to understand the needs and services across the UK available to households in need.
Think tank and consultancy NPC initially designed their databank to help charities and funders see rates of COVID-19 and to identify those that have underlying factors—such as age, health, ethnicity, economic indicators, and multiple deprivation—which may have put them at risk. Now, it has grown into a permanent databank with a growing number of contributors, including the Trussell Trust and Turn2Us.
In 2025, NPC launched an updated version of their databank after working closely with Data for Action, who asked Buttle UK to contribute to redesigning the tool. This has made it easier to submit data using their Local Needs Data Standard, so do consider reaching out. You can explore the databank here!
