Our Support for Boarding grants offer children a home-away-from-home with support from pastoral staff and activities to aid their wellbeing. This kind of support aligns with our theory of change where we strive to see young people grow up in a safe home and have the best chance at educational achievement.

As always, we hear directly from the boarding cohort and their parents and carers as they reflect on their year. As much as we love to hear the positives, we also consider the negative feedback and challenges that the children and their families have faced.

The 2024 year was particularly challenging for GCSE results, due to the combination of being the Covid-19 generation and having Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Despite this, our cohort achieved amazing results when compared against the national average.
