All Updates

Our Youth Advisory Panel plays an important role in helping Buttle understand the experiences, needs and aspirations of young people. By sharing their perspectives, ideas and lived experiences, our YAP members help us ensure that young people’s voices are heard, valued and reflected in the work we do. Some of the things they’ve shaped with us over the last 18 months include our new brand, our comms and social media content, and our initial thinking about the new deeper grants programmes we are exploring in our current strategic period.

Joining the panel is an exciting opportunity for young people we’ve supported to make a difference, develop new skills, build confidence and connect with others who are passionate about creating positive change for young people.

We’re excited to hear the ideas, insights and perspectives our new members will bring to Buttle and look forward to working together to help shape a brighter future for young people.

Zara shares her hopes for the year ahead:

“This year, I’m hoping to get more involved with Buttle and make a real difference through working on the youth advisory panel. I want to use my own experiences and ideas to help assure young people’s voices are actually heard and taken seriously. I’d also like to build my confidence, meet new people, learn new skills and hopefully help shape things that could make a positive difference for other young people.”

A huge welcome and congratulations to you all! We look forward to supporting you throughout your YAP journey and working together to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.

Welcome to the team; here’s to an exciting year ahead!
